Beyond playing sports, Asad is deeply committed to his community. He currently works part-time at the Port Moody Recreation Centre as a specialty instructor, supporting youth development. His passion for helping others extends into countless volunteer hours with Metro Ford’s Adaptive Soccer program for youth with special needs. As well as his leadership role in Unified Sports at Charles Best, where he serves as a head coach for soccer, basketball, and track programs and tournaments for students with special needs. His involvement has made him a significant figure in creating inclusive, supportive athletic environments, the very kind he has been raised in throughout his life.

Behind the camera, balancing school, work, volunteer programs, and maintaining a social life can be a challenge—but it’s all part of the journey. It fuels the commitment to do everything fully and with heart. Whether it’s helping young athletes grow, supporting students with special needs, or creating professional media, the focus is always on giving 100% and making a positive impact. Finding time for each commitment has strengthened discipline, focus, and time management, ensuring every project receives attention and care without sacrificing other important parts of life.

All of Asad’s creative work—including his contributions to Charles Best, SD43, and various sports programs—can be found showcased on AsadsMedia (@asadsmedia) on Instagram, his dedicated platform for sports content, visuals, and media projects.

My story

Why photos?

My passion for photography started at home. Growing up, I watched my dad handle cameras with a level of care and dedication that stuck with me. He wasn’t a photographer by profession—far from it—but he believed deeply in doing things the right way and properly. He chose to do photos for his company, not because he had to, but because he cared about creating something well-made.

Seeing that inspired me. Cameras were always around the house, and over time, I picked them up, experimented, and realized how much I enjoyed capturing real moments. What began as curiosity turned into a genuine passion. The more I practiced, the more I understood the craft—and the more I wanted to improve.

Photography became more than a hobby; it became something I wanted to take seriously, something I wanted to turn into my own form of professionalism. Every game, every portrait, every piece of media work is another step in that journey—continuing what I first learned from watching my dad: if you’re going to do something, make it proper, make it real, and make it your best.
